UREC Membership Eligibilities

Eligibility

LSU Faculty and Staff are eligible for UREC membership by presenting their Tiger Card at the UREC Operations Desk. Memberships are pro-rated three weeks after the start of each semester.

Memberships may be purchased by credit card at the Main UREC Operations Desk or by monthly installments utilizing FACTS Payment Plan.

What is FACTS Payment Plan

Eligibility

Faculty and Staff may not sponsor their parents or siblings under Faculty and Staff family rates. A family consists of the primary faculty or staff member, their spouse, and up to 4 dependents. A family can include up to six members. Additional family members beyond six must pay the individual rate. Spouses and dependents are not eligible for multi-visit passes.

Children under the age of 12 months are not eligible for a membership. If you bring a child to UREC under the age of 12 months, they are permitted access to UREC, and must have a waiver processed for each visit at no charge. The number of guests allowed, regardless of age, is still (3) per day.

Children over the age of 12 months, are eligible to be considered members under a Family Membership and are also eligible for a guest pass. Read more about UREC Dependent and Age Restriction policies.

What is FACTS Payment Plan

Eligibility

UREC Faculty and Staff members may sponsor one person of their choosing with a Plus One membership. This person is eligible for a UREC membership at the current Faculty and Staff member rate. The Faculty and Staff sponsor must be present to sign up and renew their sponsored guest’s membership. Both individuals must present valid photo identification at the time of signing up or renewal. The length of the Plus One membership may not exceed that of the Faculty and Staff sponsor. Plus one members are not eligible for multi-visit passes.

Eligibility

Current LSU Faculty and Staff are eligible for a one-time, seven consecutive day trial of UREC facilities and programs. Individuals may claim this offer in person at the UREC Operations Desk by showing their Tiger Card.

Eligibility

Bike Commuter memberships are available to LSU Faculty and Staff who commute to LSU via bicycle. Access will be granted Monday – Friday from 5:45 a.m. – 9 a.m. through the East Entrance. Commuter members may only access the East Locker Rooms or the East gender-neutral changing rooms. Eligibility for this membership is contingent upon having a registered bike with the East Baton Rouge Parish, and a valid Tiger Card.

Bike Commuter memberships are only sold on a per-semester basis and at the rate of $66 plus applicable tax.

Eligibility

Breaks Pass allows LSU faculty and staff, and their sponsored guests, to purchase a membership during Spring Break Hours or Winter Break Hours

• Spring or Winter Break cost - $45

UREC offers multi-pass options for those eligible to purchase a UREC membership. Multi-passes are available in packages of 10, 20, and 30 visits. The prices are as follows:

Anyone eligible for a UREC membership may purchase a multi-pass with photo identification. Multi-pass packages are valid 1 year from date of purchase, and multi-pass users are not eligible to sponsor guests for a guest pass. Multi-passes are non-refundable and non-transferable. Spouses, dependents, and Plus one members are not eligible for multi-visit passes. Multi-pass users who wish to utilize GroupX Class reservations should contact Ryan Lamb at rlamb@lsu.edu.

Eligibility

LSU Alumni are eligible for UREC membership by presenting a valid photo ID at the UREC Operations Desk. Alumni are only considered those individuals who have received a diploma from LSU. LSU Alumni who did not receive their diploma from LSU Baton Rouge will be asked to verify their LSU Alumni status with LSU transcripts or LSU diploma.

Additional Verification

If the diploma was not received from LSU Baton Rouge, Alumni must verify their LSU Alumni status by providing either:

• LSU transcripts
• LSU diploma

Individuals staying at either the Lod Cook Hotel & Conference Center are allowed entry with the purchase of the $10 guest pass by presenting a room key or room receipt and acceptable identification.

Members of the LSU Family Association receive two (2) complementary day passes per academic year and are eligible to purchase a UREC membership at the affiliate rate. Those who visit campus less frequently and would like access to UREC facilities can purchase a daily pass for just $10 per person by showing their current Family Association membership card and acceptable identification. The Family Association member must be present to be eligible for this offer and will be required to present a photo id (driver’s license, government-issued ID).

Eligibility

Program 60 provides qualifying members age 60 or older a 20% discount off the purchase of a UREC membership. The individual must present a photo ID, with date of birth, at the time of purchase.

Eligibility

The Retiree Membership is offered to retired Faculty and Staff. It provides qualifying individuals the ability to purchase a Faculty and Staff membership at a 20% discount. The patron must present a photo ID and proof of service at LSU, to include year’s employed, at the time of purchase.
