LSU Sociology Alumna Carolette Norwood Named President of the DC Sociological Association
One of our alumni is now a full professor and former Chair of Sociology and Criminology at Howard University. Tim Slack and his coauthor Shannon Monnat (Syracuse University) have been recognized with the 2025 Frederick H. Buttel Outstanding Scholarly Achievement Award from the Rural Sociological Society for their book Rural and Small-Town America: Context, Composition, and Complexities (Univ. of California Press).
