New Faculty Summit

Newly hired faculty are invited to attend the 2025 New Faculty Summit. The summit provides a comprehensive overview of LSU's policies, procedures, and resources to ensure a successful and smooth transition into the LSU community. New faculty will have the opportunity to connect with peers, learn valuable information, and embark on their journey at LSU with confidence and support.

Parking

Attendees can should enter campus at the corner of Nicholson and S. Stadium Drive. Parking spots are available in the Touchdown Village West Lot across from Patrick F. Taylor Hall. No permit or tag is required.

Meals 

Breakfast and lunch will be provided. Breakfast includes a fresh fruit display, scrambled eggs (cheese on the side), pecanwood smoked bacon, assorted breakfast breads, pepper jack cheese grits, coffee, water, and orange juice

Lunch includes a house salad with dressing trio, roasted garlic green beans, pasta bar with sliced chicken, parmesan meatballs, marinara and alfredo, assorted toppings, dessert, water, iced tea and lemonade. Gluten free pasta will be available

Benefits & Retirement Training

New faculty are encouraged to attend a benefits and retirement training within 2 weeks of their start date.

  • Register for the In-Person Option: Monday, August 18 from 8:30 - 12:00 p.m. in the Barnes & Noble Event Room

  • Register for Virtual Option: Wednesday, August 20 from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m.
